Defend your Identity with LifeLock.

Just about every morning on our way to school we listen to the radio. I’ve told stories before about us calling and winning things. The kids and I have gone through several DJs. Our current one was hated in the beginning and we’re starting to like him … some…. but his Co-DJs, not so much. Well, just about every morning on the way to school we hear the commercial for lifelock. “Hi I’m Todd Davis and I’m so secure in our product I’ll give you my social security number.” I’m sure everyone has heard it. My 8 year old son knows all about identity theft all because of that commercial. We’ve actually had a couple of talks about it and he’d like to kick all bad peoples butts.

The thing is though, every 8 minutes someone’s identity has been stolen. I think lifelock is a good idea, about $10 a month you know anytime anyone tries to place a credit request on your name. If someone applies for a credit card in your name you’ll be sent a message you will be able to approve the action or report a fraud. If someone applies for a new cellphone you’ll be messaged to approve it or not. It is sad that we have to have so many checks and balances but it is even sadder when someone who has worked hard their entire life only to lose it all because someone stole their identity. Some of the Credit Reporting Agencies would rather you not have these types of protection. They sell products that do something similar at a much higher cost. They also incur more expenses every time an identity theft is reported. Look into it and see if it is right for you.
