Special Hopeline Video
Suicide Hotline
Post Secret

1(800)SUICIDE needs your help. You can become a friend to Hopeline by posting this video on your website/Blog.

1-800-SUICIDE marks its tenth anniversary this year. It was founded in 1998 by Reese Butler in memory of his wife, Kristin who had committed suicide. The Kristin Brooks Hope Center has helped almost three million callers connect to help and hope.

As they enter their second decade of service to the public, continued support is needed to ensure that the confidentiality of every caller is protected. Because they are totally privately funded, they need to prove to the government that they are capable of supporting 1-800-SUICIDE to keep control of the line from being taken over by the federal government.

Once upon a time….

Once upon a time…., originally uploaded by Mrs Groovy.

Once upon a time there was a princess. She was a very unhappy princess, in search for her true love.
One day she met a prince. He was a very nice prince. The princess and prince fell in love….
The prince decided to move and he asked if the princess would go with him. She said YES, of course. It was hard at first, being away from home.
During a visit to the Queen the princess and the Queen double teamed the prince and got him to set a date for their wedding. The Queen and the princess giggled with glee!
Many months later the prince and the princess got married. They lived happily together for many years. The princess was missing something. She bought a grand puppy in hopes she’d feel complete. But alas something was still missing.
The princess decided to talk to the prince and they thought they knew what was missing. Many many months later a new princess was born and then many many many months later a new prince was born.
They were now complete. They were a family. The moved once more into their castle to begin living their American Dream.
And they all lived happily ever after.

2008 Birthdays

2008 Birthdays

We did the birthdays today. Both my children have their birthdays this month. My son’s is tomorrow, I’ll be taking in a birthday treat. My daughter’s isn’t until the 19th. I hate to combine their birthdays but it just seems to always work out that way. Usually she has a friend stay over so she’ll get another birthday like night then.

We got her a nice Kodak camera, its far better than mine. She also got Sims “free time” expansion pack. My son got the big City Legos, an Indiana Jones Legos, some Naruto things (poster, shirt, magazine and action figure). Although he got more hers still cost more. I want her camera too.

Can I go home now?

2008 Birthdays

We met the in-laws, my mom and her friend at the local pizza place. We had pizza of course and we brought our homemade cake. I frosted and the kids wrote their own names with their favorite colors. It turned out good although I had to hold myself back when they wrote their names. Sometimes as a parent its more important to let go than to have it look perfect.

From the dogs

From Us

Everyone’s doing it… I had to copy. You must go now and elf yourself. It is super easy and so very funny. I had to do the dogs too just because it cracked me up so much. I am going to try to make a video of the two, mix them together and then send it to friends any family via email.

Mrs Groovy’s Christmas House

Christmas Tour of HomesI’ve already shown so many of my Christmas decorations. I just couldn’t save them all up until the 17th. Then I almost wasn’t going to do the tour and I said, what the heck, I’ll take all new pictures. And then the camera died. So a few previously posted pictures along with a few new.

Only 7! Oh my gosh only 7 days left! See his little antler on the counter beside him. I think a little boy I know might have dropped him while changing the number. Poor little deer, we’ll fix it up.

Our Wreath My Wreath. I bought this for our first home, once we were married. It was handmade by someone I worked with. The little bear inside is cute.

Chrsitmas Card Holder

I made this the first year my husband and I were married. It is a felt teddy bear card holder. As you can see we haven’t gotten very many Christmas cards yet, which is just fine with me since I am not sending any this year at all.

They sing He plays the pianoThe past two Christmases my daughter has gotten me the Hallmark, special singing Christmas guy(s). This years is super cute. The little penguin shakes his bootie and rings the bell and the snowman plays the piano and sings.

My freebies These were part of my free bag of goodies that I get from Hallmark for going to the Ornament open house. The cup with the hat was last years and the penguin cup with the little candycane spoon was this years. I use the cup with a hat to put a jar candle in and it looks super cute. The penguin has candy in him and you can use his spoon to scoop some out. Yummm kisses.

Snow people Some of the beanies Some snowy TY characters, a few bears, a snowlady (She eventually moved to the speaker to be with her sugar daddy with the green hat) and a Christmas moose. There are lots more of these guys.

Christmas 2007 DChristmas 2007
Some of my most favorite snow people or bears. The first snowman was my Grandmothers, the Teddy Bear was given to me by mom.

Christmas 2007Christmas 2007The teddy bear in blue is building a snowman and he removes the head and replaces it over and over. The head lights up as well as the snowman’s body. The last snowman, is my favorite. He doesn’t light up but he’s so pretty in person.

Merry Christmas to everyone.

More Christmas picture posts.

Getting excited for Christmas.

Silver and Blue.

I have a slight addiction to Hallmark.

Think I’m done with lights and trees.
