Criss Angel in Believe.

Wednesday, July 2nd, 2008

Last night my husband and I were watching the travel channel. They were doing a special on what to visit while in Las Vegas. I’ve never been there but I know my husband would love to take his father there sometime and if he goes so am I. I’d love to see the new shows they put on. I think besides a Broadway Show in New York, there is nothing better than seeing a Live Las Vegas performance.
Right now there is a new Cirque Du Soleil performance featuring CRISS ANGEL called CRISS ANGEL Believe.

Criss Angel’s show is like no other illusionists show. Criss uses many other characters in his show to almost make it like a play. He plays a character in his own illusion and brings the audience with him while he spins a magical tale. There is an entire cast of characters and dancers that will bring forth his fantasy and make it seem like a magical reality. His talents and tricks won’t be just presented in a stand up show like the old style magicians. Instead his talents play along side a story which will keep you on the edge of your seat.

You too can see CRISS ANGEL, now appearing at the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas by entering their contest. You need to Text ‘Believe’ to 22122 to win 2 tickets to the ‘CRISS ANGEL Believe’ show. I know it is a show I’d love to see. Criss Angel performs magic like no other. Visit the site, check out the video previews, watch the countdown, see who is behind this magical show and other fun things.

More freaking snow!

Wednesday, January 30th, 2008

“They” say we’ll be getting more snow tomorrow. Another 3+ inches. Valentines for the troops

Valentines for the troops I’m supposed to go with my husband to deliver the valentines to the radio station. I quit making cards because the kids at school quit making cards. We’ve got a little over 600 depending on how many my husband got at work. He ran a promo for us to help. I doubt we’ll win. But we’re happy that the soldiers will get the cards. That is, if I can get to town with all this snow.

We support you.

My daughter’s school is divided into teams in each hallway. All of their classes other than electives are located in one hall and in each hall there are four teams. Each team was supposed to come up with some type of community service they would complete by the end of the year. They talked about all kinds of things, but really nothing was moving forward towards anything.

Well, the local radio station is running a promotion where they want classes to make valentines cards for the soldiers. They will send them the valentines from all the kids but the class that makes the most, get a pizza party and the radio station will do their morning show from the classes room. So I suggested she talk to her advisory teacher about it. Even if they don’t win it is still a really good cause as far as I am concerned.

They teacher went for it and we’ve been making cards for the past week. My husband and I will deliver the cards to the radio station on the 31st and they will mail them out no later than the 2nd. I think it is a really groovy idea and I’m glad we got to be the ones to present it. :)

Hamilton Beach® and I are best buds.

Sunday, December 16th, 2007

Remember about a month ago that video I posted for the Hamilton Beach® Mixer? Well about a week or so ago I got an email telling me I had won it! I did the happy dance while my husband watched and wondered if I had gone loco. I couldn’t hardly believe it. When we picked up my son I said, “remember that video Momma made for that mixer? I won!” He thought it was cool. So then when we picked up my daughter I started to say, “Hey remember that video I did for that Eclectrics® Mixer…. before I could finish my son yells, “She won!!” That boy steals my thunder and snitches me out.

Every day when I’d come home from running around I’d check the front door to see if the Brown truck had left me any packages. Then this past Thursday, I saw the brown truck pull up out front. I jumped up, locked all the dogs outside and jerked open the door. I think I scared the poor man. As soon as I saw that it was pineapple yellow I knew my daughter was going to want it, even though she’s not a big chef or anything.

Today the kids and I set about making our video to thank Hamilton Beach® and brag about the wonderful Hamilton Beach® Stand Mixer I was going to be able to give my Mom for Christmas. I cannot begin to tell you how hard it has been not calling my Mom up and telling her I won, I can hardly wait for Christmas just so I can see her opening up her stocking and her mixer.

Once I got everything open and started playing with it, man I was tempted to keep it. The bowl locks in place which I know my Mom’s old one never did. The little blades or mixer things are so easy to put on and take off. The hardest part for me was the lever release in the back to lift up the head, Mom’s never had that either. I even had to take it in the kitchen to see how it’d look on my counter. That blue one is real pretty :hint hint: But I kept my promise and my mother will absolutely love her new Hamilton Beach® and I will be borrowing it.

OMG Guess what….

Hey guys remember that video I posted of myself talking about the awesomely cool Hamilton Beach ® Mixer I wanted to win for my Mom? Well, I got an email today saying I won!! I have no idea how many other people posted videos and how many people were picked to win but I won, I won, I won!! I’m supposed to post another video after I get it to tell you all how wonderful it is and make you all seriously jealous and normally I wouldn’t do that because, that’s kind of mean. But…. they asked me to and because I’m such a good girl and always do as I’m asked… hahaha! But honestly, I’ll post another video because it will rock and I’ll want to show you just how much it rocks and they asked.

Maybe I’ll even video tape my Mom getting it…. hrm.
