I’d like new glasses.

Friday, July 11th, 2008

As most of you know I recently bought my daughter new glasses. Even with my insurance they cost almost $400. I about died when they told me how much. It was also at that point that I decided I would not be getting new glasses myself. That is until I read about ZenniOptical.com. At first I was cyptical but then I saw a story about Zenni on Fox. Go ahead and click over and watch the video, I’ll wait…

So, my doubts were eased and I’ve already got an eye appointment to get a new prescription for some new eye glasses only I won’t be getting my glasses from them. I have to try ZenniOptical just to see for myself if I can get a good pair of glasses for around $20.

This is a paid post for which I have a site wide disclosure in my links on the sidebar. I will however be using the company for which this post was written about.

Are you a black friday shopper? I myself haven’t been out on black friday (the day after Thanksgiving) for at least 5 years, maybe more. One reason is the crowds and the pushy people, another reason is I try to have my shopping finished well before then. The main reason why I don’t need to go out shopping on Black Friday is because I get a sneak peek at the Black Friday ads a little early. This year I keep up with the black friday 2008 ads by visiting the blackfriday.info site. I also have it set up so they will email me when new ads are released or discovered.

I will never have to go out at 5am to stand in line because I always know ahead of time and I can purchase the things I want online. Plus I save money by waiting for the best price. It has always upset me when I go buy something and then the very next week it goes on sale. Most places will still give you the sale price but it is still not worth the gas money and the hassle to go through the return process. They offer ads for tons of stores, from Target to Staples, from Joanne fabric to KB Toys. Just about any store you can think of they’ll have an ad for it. The site is super easy to use and well worth the time spent looking around.

Save yourself some trouble and some cash this year, by getting the ads early and shopping online.

ShopWiki.

It is so important to search for low prices before you buy anything. There are many sites out there that proclaim being the best search and comparison shopping sites, but in my opinion only ShopWiki.com is the one to use. We’ve all used Wiki to look up information. So what better place than ShopWiki to do the best search possible to get the best price available.
ShopWiki has 200,000 stores to shop from and more than 250 million products to compare prices.
Shopping is supposed to be fun and it should make you feel good. I so dislike when I buy something and see it cheaper within days. Search for specific brands and products in every category. Search for clothes, computers, digital cameras, mp3 players, pets and so many more. Check out the baby, toddler and kids categories, they’ve got so many options.

Last minute shopping for your valentine’s day presents too, books, chocolates, flowers, sexy gifts and both gifts for men and women as well as gifts for the kids. Even for the parents and that single person you know… can’t forget them on valentines . Be smart compare with ShopWiki before you buy.

Planning for the V-day.

Anyone who has read me for a while know Valentine’s day isn’t just a Hallmark holiday for me. My father died on February 12, 1990. It has been my goal to make sure my Mother never feels alone or sad on Valentine’s day. This year I am having a little trouble coming up with the perfect valentines day gifts. Normally we take her out to dinner or invite her over for dinner on the 12th as an early valentines day. I know this year I want to get her a plant and I’m sure I’ll find something perfect at 1800flowers. I like getting her plants or flowers to plant because she loves to garden and it gives her something to remind her of our special day. Maybe this year I’ll take her to lunch just the two of us on the 12th with a small bunch of flowers. Then for Valentine’s day I can have her plant delivered and the kids and I can get a movie and some type of take out and spend the evening with her.

Always like a sharp dressed man.

I’ve always had a thing for sharp dressed man. It is funny because I don’t really care about a man in uniform but a man in a suit, oh yeah. Maybe it is because my husband doesn’t dress up at all, or maybe its because my dad was a dressy kind of man. I have no idea but I do know I like a man in a suit and he must have some beautiful silver cufflinks to go with it all. Honestly, they can have gold or silver cufflinks or even gemstone cufflinks. I still have some of my father’s cufflinks from when he was in his suit wearing days. The cufflinks just finish off the clothing just like jewelry finishes off a woman’s outfit.
