It’s Just Me

My husband and I both lived in Oregon for years. Our first date was to the Oregon Coast. I had been there once before but it was just a short trip. When we went for the entire day it was a thrilling time. We’ve been back many times since. Once we moved to Washington State we decided to go to the coast there and we were totally let down. Besides the fact that you can actually drive on the Washington coast that was the only benefit.

Growing up we used to go to the Rodeo every summer. I remember my father being so cool just because he was a daddy. It was always hot but we never cared. Those are some great memories.

During the month of March, the Houston Rodeo is going to be one different kind of rodeo. Get your Houston Rodeo concert tickets now while they still have them. The Houston Rodeo has over one million visitors every year.

Big names in country, hip hop, rock and latin music will be performing directly after the rodeo events. They have an amazing stage that turns a full 360 degrees around so all the seats can see the performers. That is just cool, I’m sorry but every place should have that kind of stage. The best seats in the house are the Action seats, you get complimentary food and drinks!

The events start March 3rd with Tim McGraw, followed by Faith Hill, Kevin Fowler, Martina McBride, Miley Cyrus acting as Hannah Montana, my person favorite, Rascal Flatts, Toby Keith, John Fogerty, Fergie, Brooks and Dunn and so many more. The concerts don’t end until March 22.

When I was little there weren’t any famous people that came and sang after the Rodeo events. I guess that is what makes the Houston Rodeo so different. Can you imagine the little girls waiting to see Miley Cyrus?

I’ve been to Disneyland twice and Disney World once. If I had to pick between the two I’d most likely pick Disney World. I liked that Sea World and Disney World were so close together. Plus I just love Florida. I wouldn’t stay in a hotel though I’d rather find some type of vacation home.

There are a ton of Orlando vacation homes and they are all close to Disneyworld. Most of the vacation homes have a private pool and spa so you can enjoy your time while in your vacation house as much as you enjoy your time in Disneyworld. Some of the homes have game rooms, home theatres and some resort amenities.

So who wants to go to Disney World with me?

I always talk about places I’d like to visit and one of those places would be South Africa. Mind you’d I’d be doing more of the touristy things and going to the more “civilized” places. The hardest part about traveling to different countries for me would be the food. But I know if I was in a more advanced area, that I’d be ok. I was looking at
flights to South Africa, today just for fun. There is a hotel there that is one of the most magnificent I’ve ever seen. Plus it is near the historic main street and the village center. In walking distance are some of the greatest restaurants and shopping.

There is so much to see and do in South Africa and it has become a huge vacation location. You can do the outdoor stuff you’d come to expect from South Africa and then you can go back to your hotel and enjoy some fine dinning and entertainment.

When my sister was young she had the chance to go to France after taking French for 4 years in a row. She didn’t go and I know a part of her always wished she had the chance to go. Now they have travel agents that can help an entire class take some educational tours. What better way to learn the cultures of other countries than to visit them yourself. Hemisphere Travel is leader in their field. All their educational tours are given by former educators and have been trained to organize the best student tours. I wish I’d have taken the chance to travel as a student because I’m pretty sure I won’t be doing any international travel now.
