I made it my way.

Today was doing its very best effort to screw with me, but you know what? I beat the day. Woke up at the crack of too dang early (5:30am) so I could go to work with my husband. You know because I love him and I’m so nice like that. I didn’t ride in with him, I took my own car because I was going to be leaving before he would be leaving.

Well, that didn’t work out and we ended up leaving at the same time which makes me so mad because we just wasted a ton of gas. Then he ended up having to go back so we basically made three trips when we could have just made one. Wait… there is more. On the way home a truck threw a huge rock at my window and left a grapefruit size smashed spot. Lovely. Made me so mad.

I went with him back out to his store and on the way back home from the third trip out we got a flat tire on my husband’s car. We ended up trying to fill it twice before we just gave up and changed the tire on the side of the road. Not so horrible when it isn’t 95 degrees outside. Wait… one of the lug nuts broke off too!

But in the end, neither of us freaked out or got mad and we’re both pretty dang happy just to be home. The best part, we’re still all lovey dovey and snuggly too. Oh and he took tomorrow off so he could take the car into the guy who put the new tires on it so they can fix it, which means I get him home with me tomorrow. :)

Mondays don’t bother me during the summer time.

Hi Ho Hi Ho its off to work with my husband I go. I look forward to the three hours of quiet time alone in the store with my husband. I only hope the employees did a quality close last night, otherwise they might make him grouchy and if that happens I might poison the snacks I buy them.

Did I mention how pretty my desk looks with it’s new fancy legs? Other than hanging some things on the wall I think I might finally be finished with my room. I moved it around like it has never been before and it looks really … nice… grown-up…. fancy…. cool.

Happy Monday hope yours is extra groovy.

Uh…. no, not really.

When I clean my house it means that I clean my house. When my husband cleans the house it means he tells children what to do while he helps them clean. Most of the time when he cleans it’ll be cluttered not dirty and it bothers him, so he’ll just start giving orders. It actually drives us all nuts, mostly the kids but when he’s telling me what to do I get real mad.

So tonight a soda got spilled on the floor and there were some clothes folded on the table… he says, “that’s it, we’re doing a clean.” He starts snapping his fingers at kids and they look at him and he begins his little ritual. The kids look at me and roll their eyes and I smile and walk away.

I’m sitting there plurking away and my son is in my room vacuuming… he looked really cute doing it too. I asked him if he liked vacuuming it and he kind of laughed (like I do) and said…. “uh… no not really.” You would have had to heard it for it to have been as funny as it was, but it made me laugh so hard. Sometimes I forget he is as old as he is because sometimes he still acts like a little boy… he’s growing up and I never gave him permission.

Summer has begun.

So much has happened in the last few days. My Mom leaves tomorrow to go to my sisters for two weeks. My youngest niece is graduating high school. She’ll go on to attend the school of her choice with a full scholarship. I need to get her a dang card in the mail. Also our longest friends ever are having a graduation for their son. It’s mind blowing to us that he’s old enough to graduate.  She got pregnant with him shortly after we got married.

The last day of school totally sucked for my daughter and put our minds at ease that we are doing the right thing with the home school next year. They couldn’t have proved it more the last day when she called me at 12:30 to tell me the kids were all going home. They weren’t supposed to be out until 1:10pm. So there sat my child waiting for me after everyone had already gone home. They didn’t even give them time to get their yearbooks signed. Complete bullshit.

We’ve also got a new “family” member. My husband’s long time employee and my favorite was having issues at home and he will be staying with us for a while. I’m sure it won’t be long because the cost of gas will kill him since we live two towns away from work and three towns away form his second job. Both kids love him to death and my son wants to adopt him so he can have a big brother.  Last night my husband and my son were fighting over who got to hang with him first. We went to bed around 1am and we left the boys and my daughter playing guitar hero late into the night. My son was in heaven. I’ve got to think of a nickname for him so it’ll be easier to talk about him.

This is the same kid who painted Spiderman on my son’s wall and the same kid who drove two towns over at 9pm to help my daughter with her math homework. I love this kid as if he was family and technically he is young enough he could be my son. Now I just need to get my son’s room emptied out some so he has some more room. Maybe he and I can do that sometime this week.

Anyway, we’re going to BBQ tonight so I need to get some stuff ready for when the guys come home from work.

They like it, they like it.

Looking for a new theme… until then you get this. B O R I N G!

Lookie lookie! Miss Diva gets a new dress.

I spent the very last of my paid post money, from payperpost and socialspark. I rarely get any jobs anymore and when I do getting them approved has become a bit troublesome. I spent the last of my money on a kickin game for my son. It turns out he isn’t the only one who will be loving it.

He's a rock star Our new band

My son had been doing searches on it trying to find a price he wanted to show me.  It was actually a package deal, two guitar controllers and guitar hero 1 & 2. Once he found a decent price and seller we bought it off ebay. It is new it just isn’t the brand new Guitar Hero, which is fine. We’ll upgrade when we’re ready. My son is very happy with his new toy, but Dad seems to be diggin it as well, even my daughter was enjoying it more than she’d like to admit.

Our next toy…. Wii Fit. How cool is that gadget?
