I’m still just a little kid at heart.

Thursday, May 15th, 2008

Sometimes when the kids aren’t home I jump on the trampoline alllll by myself. Well, not entirely all by myself… the dogs all get a turn too of course. My husband got the rare chance to see the “doggie wants to trampoline” dance I preform to get a dog to come into the trampoline with me.

When the dogs are inside the trampoline with me I’ll run in circles they’ll chase me. It’s fun. My son gets super mad because they won’t chase him but they love to chase me.

Kirby is a speedy little devil and if I’m not quick on my toes he’ll nip my ankle. He doesn’t mean to hurt or anything but you better be quick or he’ll get you. He also growls and barks a little which crack me up and he’ll chase you until you can’t run anymore.

Louie, he plays mind games. Makes me think he wants to come in, so I get down to get him up, but then once my feet touch the ground he runs away. But then he comes back, stands on his hind leg looking into the trampoline and cries! When you do get  him in there you kinda just have to play with him. He’ll chase you but you don’t really want him to. He more or less just wants to kick your butt and he barks really loud.

Diva, she’s extremely fun to bounce but I would never do that. Ok… maybe once or twice each time. She also likes to chase you and her little barks are really laughable. The best part though as she gets running her hind end  starts to lift up off the ground. Plus she’s tiny so you can still get a decent bounce.

Today though… Kirby wouldn’t come near me. Louie was playing his little game of yes I do want in… haha no I don’t. Then little Diva came run out and she got in with me and chased me. I think I pulled something but there is that whole rule I made about not showing Dad you might have gotten hurt on the trampoline. heh

My dr visit went really well. I liked him this time and I’ll try him again next year. He did a whole dang physical, took some blood and stuff. I’ve never once given my cholesterol a thought, but he’s going to make sure I find out if I should. Gave me all the stop smoking speeches and pamphlets and I blamed my husband since he won’t quit.

My husband took me out to breakfast after my appointment and we dropped off some more garage sale crap. I’ll be spending the next three days at my Mom’s house pretty much. Next year, forget this I am so NOT doing it.

Anyway… I’m off to run some errands with my husband

My furbabies.

This morning I came across a cute site called Sugary Kisses. She asks the question, “What kind of pet do you own?” Well of course I had to respond by posting pictures of my lovely fur babies.

Kirby- he was a run away that adopted my son. We put up signs and no one claimed him. My husband put him out on the front yard hoping he’d go back home and all he did was dig his way into our backyard. He claimed us, so we bought him a collar, cut is hair and gave him a rainbow name tag.

Diva- rescued by my husband from a little abusive boy, she has adopted my daughter as hers. Again we put up signs but she was unclaimed so we bought her a dress and collar and gave him a rainbow name tag.

Louie- rescued from the humane society after weeks of looking for the right puppy. Louie has adopted me, which I am very thankful for. He is a little insecure and requires a lot of love and attention. Louie is the first BIG dog I’ve ever owned and he is by far my favorite. He also has a rainbow name tag.

Ready 4 school?

Ready 4 school?, originally uploaded by Its Just Me.

My son, waiting until it is time to go. Doesn’t he look wide awake and busy tailed? He and his father were up late watching a new sponge bob movie while I was over at my Mom’s helping her with her new DSL. They called me at 9:30pm 30 minutes past bedtime to ask for some McDonalds. Apparently watching tv while in the bathtub makes people hungry… who knew? I know that both kids will be asleep early tonight, which is a very good thing. heh.

Walking in the sun.

Saturday, April 12th, 2008

Yesterday afternoon the kids, Louie and I set off on a walk. We went the usual way, but this time we took a different turn. When we moved into this neighborhood, 5.5 years ago this road was not there. This area was all farm fields, filled with alfalfa, corn, onions and sugar beets.

The road we were walking on wasn’t there. (I swear I am not that short and stocky. Gah. The worst part about having a daughter who’s got a better camera than you do, is the pictures she’ll take of me.)

Mom, bro and louie

This neighborhood wasn’t here.

The boy

None of this was here. Sign advertises - 3555 sq foot house for 170,000.

My family

It was a nice walk, I have no idea how far we went I’m guessing 5 or 6 miles. Dad was getting annoyed with dogs and children. The children were tired of being cooped up, Louie just likes to go for walks and I enjoyed just being in the sun.

A general post about nothing much at all.

Axe My son, he loves his Axe. We started buying it for his Dad I think. We bought a little travel bottle for them to try. Now they both use it daily. I buy the bigger bottle now but the other day at the store they had little travel bottles in all the scents so the boys loaded up. He is quite proud of his little collection of bottles. Sure hope a buncha chicks don’t try to pick him up while he’s at school.

Boys and their gamesMy favorite man of all time and my favorite dog of all time. These two make me so happy. It’s a good thing they get along even if the really hairy one does get in trouble from time to time. Not for being bad, more for being needy, like his owner.

I will be handing over a large a mount of money on Thursday. By large I mean in the thousands. At which time I will sign a contract allowing me to continue to pay them more money in monthly installments for a couple more thousand. My daughter starts the process to get her braces. Yay! Next new glasses and maybe try out some contacts. She is my child.

Me 4-4-08I need to visit with my Mom this week…
