It’s Just Me

Speaking of my Mom’s friend she was telling me the other night that he’s got some serious problems with his one good eye and he’s not too happy about it. He was a truck driver for years and he got cancer in his left eye from having the sun in his eye so often. They had to do some type of surgery to that eye and I think he had a stroke too. So he’s really only got the one eye to see with. The eye dr told him he’d be blind within years. This is man started a new contracting business less than 4 years ago and does almost all the labor himself. He can’t lose his eyesight. It would just kill him. He turned down their offer for pre- training to learn to use a cane and read braille.
